The Clear Fire Station is a regional emergency response facility serving Clear Space Force Station and surrounding communities in rural Alaska. Replacing an outdated building, the new station enhances operational readiness with four drive-through apparatus bays, a dispatch center, training space, dormitories, and administrative offices. ExD developed the two-story plan as an alternative to the single story prototype, providing a more compact solution that improved functionality and reduced energy costs.

Built to support round-the-clock response across a remote 120-mile corridor, the facility accommodates fourteen vehicles and provides living space for on-duty staff. Strategic use of daylight, clerestory windows, and outdoor views supports occupant wellness during Alaska’s dark winter months. The project has been certified LEED Silver.
