Built over 50 years ago, this open classroom school was no longer suited to meet the current curriculum for ASD or modern teaching methods. ExD designed a complete renovation and an expansion that transformed Gladys Wood into a vibrant, twenty-first century learning environment, while upgrading structural, mechanical, and electrical systems to meet current codes.

The existing classrooms pods now feature acoustically separated classrooms connected by a shared learning commons. Themed around the four seasons each pod has a distinctive color/material palate. The building entry was completely redone to address new security protocols and create an open welcoming experience for visitors and students.
