ExD worked with JNU in planning phase 2 terminal expansion that includes staged demolition of the older portions of the terminal (1980’s construction) and construction of a new two-story addition.

Services include architectural, structural, civil, mechanical and electrical evaluation of the existing facility to carefully structure the demolition to minimize disruption the JNU’s current operations. Following the evaluation a complete design for the new addition was done with selective remodeling of the existing terminal. Our firm worked with Crstal Worl, an artist who specializes in Alaska Native formline art, to design the decorative panels used in the project.

This airport services large commercial airlines, airlines operating under part 135, and the general aviation community. Terminal upgrades met appropriate access and security in the terminal for the various airlines and future airport tenants.
