As the leader of Explore Design’s Aviation Studio, Jason brings a thoughtful, systems-based approach to every project. His work is guided by the belief that great design strikes a balance between innovation and responsibility, creating environments that are efficient, functional, and aesthetically pleasing.
Jason’s experience working in Germany shaped his perspective on design as a dialogue between structure and experience. Studying under architect Gunter Pfeifer, he explored the Cybernetic relationship between nature and technology, gaining insight into how every element, physical, biological, and technical, can work in harmony. He continued his study of architecture with an expanded focus on the relationship between structure and language syntax.
Jason dedicates his work to the development of sustainable building practices. His goal is to reconnect indigenous design with modern innovations, seek cost-effective solutions, and create healthy, energy-efficient environments. Over time, the goal is to mitigate negative environmental impacts and foster sustainable communities.

Working on the Alaska Airlines Anchorage Hangar was both an honor and a defining moment in Jason’s career. The project represented Alaska Airlines’ first ground-up new construction, a facility that serves as critical infrastructure for the airline and the community. Beyond the scale and complexity, what made the project truly meaningful was its collaboration. For Jason, the lasting highlight isn’t just the technical achievement, but the relationships built along the way, connections that have grown into lifelong friendships and stand as a testament to the spirit of teamwork that defined the project.
