As Explore Design’s Sustainability Director, Jason champions the firm’s mission to make every project a model for environmental responsibility and human wellbeing. Jason guides ExD’s sustainability vision day to day, helping teams design buildings that work in harmony with people and place. From balancing energy use to shaping light and comfort, he’s driven by the idea that thoughtful design can make life better. To him, sustainability isn’t a buzzword; it’s just good architecture.
His passion for green building began in college, after a chance encounter with a builder who opened his eyes to the power of environmentally conscious design. Since then, Jason has dedicated his career to creating spaces that elevate communities while honoring the planet. Among his proudest accomplishments is helping achieve the Living Building Challenge—Energy Petal for King County Metro’s Electric Vehicle Bus Charging Station, a milestone that reflects his belief in design as a force for change.
When he closes the laptop, Jason channels his creativity into travel and photography, finding inspiration in new landscapes and cultures. Known for his playful habit of skateboarding through airports, he approaches life with equal parts curiosity, purpose, and joy.

Jason is particularly proud of his involvement on this project. It resonates with his values of integrating sustainable practices in large-scale infrastructures.
