Laurel keeps Explore Design’s financial and strategic operations running smoothly with a steady hand and a sharp sense of humor. As Director of Finance, she blends business insight with a deep appreciation for the people behind every project. Her career in accounting began at 19, and over the years she’s built a reputation for combining financial acumen with a big picture perspective that drives results.

After transitioning into the architecture and engineering industry more than a decade ago, Laurel knew she’d found her place, and her people. She’s passionate about projects that strengthen communities, especially schools and federal work that bring people together and create lasting value.

Outside the spreadsheets, Laurel is equal parts goofball and guru. She’s a proud mom of two grown kids, an avid skier, and a yogi at heart who dreams of one day teaching at her own studio. From financial strategy to yoga flow, Laurel approaches every challenge with balance and purpose.
